Winchester 101 Pigeon Grade XTR Lightweight 12/20 Two Barrel Set With Provenance SOLD!
Uncommon Winchester 101 Pigeon Grade XTR LW two barrel set owned by PGA golfer Tom Weiskopf and sold to his good friend and business associate, golf course designer Bland Pittman, in 1990. Both 12 and 20 gauge barrels with 3" chambers. Twenty gauge barrels are 27" and twelve gauge barrels are 28", both with excellent bores. Seven 12 gauge Winchester chokes; Sk/Sk/IC/Mod/Imp Mod/F/XF. Five 20 gauge chokes; Sk/Sk/IC/Mod/F. LOP is 14 1/8" over a factory Winchester pad. Weighs 7lb 11oz with 20 gauge barrels and 7lb 8oz with 12 gauge barrels. Overall condition remains at 97% showing only limited use. Cased in its original Winchester two barrel trunk case with chokes, removal tool, and two keys. Case also remains in very nice condition.
Tom Weiskopf won 16 PGA Tour titles between 1968 and 1982 including the 1973 Open Championship. He was runner-up at The Masters four times. Following his golfing career he became a noted golf course architect. He passed in 2022. Bland Pittman was a noted golf course designer and business associate of Mr. Weiskopf's. He passed in 2024. A letter of provenance from Mr. Weiskopf and endorsed cancelled check is included.
