Bores are pristine measuring .734-R and .733-L Choked .004-R and .028-L The Webley & Scott Screw Grip action features bushed strikers and 80% coverage English rose and scroll engraving extending onto the breech end of the barrels. It retains 30% original case colors. Barrels retain 90% original blue with the trigger guard and tang at 40% London proofs for 1 1/8oz Chambers are 2 3/4" Forend and buttstock are completely solid. Buttstock is well layed out with fiddleback figure and dark contrasting lines. 14 5/16" LOP to a new Silver's pad. DAC-1 1/4" DAH-2 1/8" Cast off for the right hand. Weight is 6lb 10oz The barrel inscription reads "London Sporting Park Ltd.-The "Watts" Gun- Hendon & 60 New Bond Street, London" W. Webster Watts was a London self promotor who published some data on shotgun ballistics and in the "between the wars" years established a shooting facility just outside of London at Hendon for fitting, instruction, and practice. He retailed guns under his own name. This gun is also marked "The Watts Gun" on the sidelocks and was originally #1 of a pair and is so marked in gold inlay in the appropriate locations. This gun shows no sign of ever having been refurbished. It remains in excellent mechanical condition. A classic English sidelock ejector game gun by a very respected maker.
