Full custom Mauser in .280 Remington Built on a DWM 1909 Argentine action with a 24" sightless octagon barrel by S&W Gunshop. Bore is excellent with a recessed crown. Action features include a jewelled bolt with three panel bolt knob checkering, a custom checkered bolt release, two position side swing safety, and Timney fully adjustable trigger. Argentine bottom metal with trigger bow release. Topped with Leupold 1" rings and bases. This gun is stocked in an outstanding piece of Turkish Walnut with excellent color and contrast with dark mineral streaks. Shadowline cheekpiece with skeleton grip cap and buttplate both of which are color case hardened with checkered centers. Inletted sling studs both fore and aft with hidden screws. Ebony forend tip. The checkering is 26 LPI in a modified Fleur de Lis pattern that wraps the forend. LOP is 13 1/2" Weightof 8lb 12 oz without scope.
This is an extremely well done piece in nearly new condition with only the very slightest of handling marks. The inletting is superb! I have been unable to find any info on the S&W Gunshop or the craftsman who made this wonderful piece. I hope someone will enlighten me as it is extremely well done and has all the bells and whistles.
