Scholberg 12 Gauge Sidelock SOLD! Paul Scholberg of Liege, Belgium 12 gauge sidelock built in 1929. Dovetail lump ejector barrels are 27 5/8" with raised matted rib with silver front bead. Choked IC/M measuring .014 on the right and .024 on the left. Bores are excellent measuring .726 in both. Chambers are 2 3/4", proved 12/70. Bar action 9-pin sidelock with reinforced frame, hidden third fastener, intercepting sears, and bushed strikers. Reciever exhibits 80% coverage of well executed floral and scroll engraving with banners on both sides. This was a bespoke gun built for a Mr. R. Pignard of Caen, France and so engraved in the left reciever banner. Maker's name engraved in the right reciever banner. Double triggers with the front articulated. Anson push button forend release. European Walnut stock with drop points and very nice color and contrast. 14 1/8" LOP to a checkered butt. Neutral cast. This gun came to me in untouched original condition, well used but not abused. It has been refreshed with a professional stock refinish. Fresh barrel black and a new hinge pin are by Mr. J.J.
