Bores are as new measuring .725 right and left. Choked .022 right and .035 left. Silver reciever with 40% coverage of well cut scroll engraving with a pheasant on the floorplate by Imario and signed. Exquisitely detailed rebounding hammers. Double triggers with the front articulated. Pierced top lever. Four locking screws on key screws. Stocked in an extremely nice piece of Circasian Walnut with excellent color and contrast. 32 LPI checkering. The inletting is superb. 14 3/4" LOP to a checkered wood buttplate. San Giorgio was a small boutique father/son maker in the Val Trompia region of Italy obviously capable of very high quality work. This piece remains in almost new condition with a few stock handling marks. It appears to have been fired very. Lever remains well right of center. Barrels ring with a pure chime. It comes to the shoulder with ease. It exhibits the style, grace, and elegance that fine gunmaking is all about.
