Oberndorf Mauser Type S 1946 SOLD!
Type S Oberndorf Mauser in 8x57 S manufactured at the end of production in 1946 under French occupation prior to the destruction of the Mauser factory by the Allies. Barrel is 20" with an excellent bore. One standing and one folding leaf rear sight. Round top reciever with double set triggers and lever release floorplate. Round bolt knob as seen on some very early and some very late factory sporters. All numbers matching. All original and in 98-99% condition. This is a very desirable, high condition, and rare piece for the discriminating Mauser collector. The end of the line of the finest pedigree in sporting rifle production!
