The owner of Manley Shooter Supply, he passed in 2003. Mr. Ron Collings, now retired, apprenticed with Webley & Scott before working as an independant engraver in the British trade. He has engraved for Purdey, Westley Richards, and Holland & Holland. He ultimately immigrated to Canada and 30 years ago to the United States. He has been a sidecar passenger in the Isle of Mann motorcycle race. He has engraved 4,000 guns over his illustrious career including the double rifles in Jurassic Park and the guns in Annie Colter starring Raque Welch. He is a delightful and fascinating gentleman. He told me that Mr. Manley commisioned this gun in the early 80's and that it features approximately 150 hours of engraving. It is a true art piece that remains as new from the makers. Both the engraving and stocking are absolutely top tier.
