This is a stunning piece exhibiting the finest of early 20th century American craftsmanship. The Hoffman Arms Company built fine rifles in Cleveland beginning in June of 1923. This was the same month that Griffin & Howe went into business. They were joined by James Howe of Griffin & Howe fame in October of that year. In 1925 production moved to Ardmore, Oklahoma and they closed their doors in 1930 at the height of the Great Depression. Total production was around 500 firearms with some small number of these being double rifles, shotguns, and drillings. This gun exhibits quality and workmanship from an era we will never see again.
