Holland & Holland, 13 Bruton Street London .308 Norma Magnum built about 1969 on a 1924 Oberndorf Mauser Single Square Bridge action. Barrel is 24 3/4 " with a banded ramp front sight with a folding sight protector, muzzle brake, banded sling stud, and a banded island rear sight base with one folding leaf. Bore is as new. The receiver has a stippled front ring and square bridge base, Buehler type safety, and a fully adjustable trigger. Bottom metal holds four down. London proved at 19.5 Tons. Stocked in classic H&H style in highly figured French Walnut with a shadow line cheekpiece, Monte Carlo comb, wrap around point pattern checkering, engraved single crossbolt, and horn forend tip. The trap grip cap is color case hardened and contains a spare front sight. LOP is 13 1/2" to a 3/4" Silver's pad. 8lb 4oz
This is a very nice piece from a top tier English maker and with highly figured wood. The original stock exhibits minor handling marks. Original blue remains at 98% Checkering at 100% It does not appear that this gun has ever been hunted and may be unfired as 100% blue remains on the bolt face. Comes with 50 rounds new Norma brass and new RCBS dies. Excellent value.
