Greifelt was an iconic pre-War German maker of fine rifles and shotguns located in the great historic gunmaking center of Suhl. Griffin & Howe used Greifelt actions on some of their small bore rifles. The 7x64 Brenneke is an outstanding and popular cartridge almost identical to, but not interchangeable with, the .280 Remington. Ammo and brass are readikly available. The stock on this fine pre-War rifle has been faithfully restored with recut checkering, oil finish, and a new horn buttplare by the owner. New scope claw mounts were machined. Action was pillar bedded for strength and accuracy. This gun is field ready and a nice addition to any German Mauser collection.
