Dumoulin .416 Rigby SOLD!
Ernest Dumoulin, Herstal, Belgium Model Super Safari Sportsman built in 1988 on their proprietary A2OOOLM [Long Magnum] double square bridge true magnum length action. Claw mounted Zeiss Diavari 1.5 x 4.5 scope with duplex reticle. Oversize bolt body is .750" and machined from a single piece of steel along with the handle and knob. Bolt body and extractor are jewelled. Bolt knob is checkered and engraved. Drop box magazine machined from a single forging. Straddle floorplate with trigger bow release. Gold plated fully adjustible trigger. Side swing three position safety. Lothar Walther 26" barrel with matted and engraved quarter rib with one standing and two folding express sights with gold inlayed center line on each. Engraved banded ramp front sight with hood, banded sling swivel stud, and barrel recoil lug with tie down screw. Stocked in well layed out dense European Walnut with double crossbolts, pancake shadow line cheekpiece, and two screw steel grip cap. LOP is 14 1/4" to an Old English pad. 11lb 8oz as scoped.
This piece is a classy workhorse. Not a thoroubred but definitely not a plowhorse. It is built solid and tough. It has been to Africa and yearns to return. Stock shows scattered dents and dings. It is built right with an outstanding magnum action with three locking lugs and an excellent claw mount system.
