Francois Doumalin & Co. Liege, Belgium 12 Gauge built in 1945 with 27 1/2" Duco Compound Steel ejector barrels with a raised file cut game rib that tapers from 10mm to 5mm with a small silver front bead. Bores are excellent measuring .726 right and .727 left. The right barrel has removeable chokes; .003[SK1] .006[IC] & .017]Mod]. Choke wrench included. Left barrel with fixed choke of .037[F]. Barrels with double underlugs and hidden third bite. Chambers are 2 3/4" and so proved. Built on a seven pin round body sidelock action that is French Silver with full coverage very well cut floral engraving with "Fs. Doumalin & Co" in a banner on the left and "Fnt Bte Liege" on the right. Even the single nonselective trigger is engraved with a checkered face. Disk set strikers. Trigger guard rolled for the right hand. Stocked in a very nice piece of European Walnut with excellent grain flow, color, and contrast. LOP IS 14 1/8" over a soft rubber pad. Francois Doumalin was active from 1894 until 1968. This stunning piece is truly a best gun in every respect with round body bar action sidelock receiver, stocked to the fences, single trigger, and full coverage engraving. Barrels are tight and on face and ring with a pronounced chime. Ejectors are strong and well timed. Barrel blue remains at 97%. Stock finish at 95% and checkering at 94% Excellent sidelock value.
