David McKay Brown apprenticed with Alex Martin in Glasgow and John Dickson in Edinburgh. He started his own company in 1974 reintroducing the Scottish round body trigger plate game gun. Mr. Brown has now retired from gunmaking and sold his business in 2021. There will be no more made by his hand. Hopefully, Grant Buchan, the new owner will continue his legacy.
