Beretta ASE Gold Sporting SOLD!
Beretta 12 bore ASE Gold Sporting built in 1998 in the Beretta Custom Shop along with the
SO-series sidelocks. Barrels are 29 1/2" Boehler Antinit Steel with ventilated side ribs and hand filed top vent rib with white front bead. Chambers are 3" with excellent bores and readily available Beretta Mobile chokes, only two (IM/F) provided. The blued receiver is made of specially hardened nickel-chromium-molybdenum steel. It is unengraved but gold inlayed with a receiver crossbolt locking two monoblock lugs. Drop out gold selective single trigger/lock group with the trigger adjustable for LOP. Stocked in highly figured European Walnut with an adjustable comb, slight right hand palm swell, and a fully adjustable Hart Systems LLC R.A.D. 2 recoil reducing competition buttplate with 1/2" Kick-Eez pad ($410 retail). This was installed by Robert Paxton of Paxton Arms, NSSA and TSSA Hall of Famer. LOP currently set at 14 3/4". LOP to end of wood allows for a 14 1/8" LOP with a 1" pad and 1/4" spacer if competition buttplate is removed. Weight is 8lb 15oz Cased in its Beretta factory case with cleaning rod and attachments, stock removal tool, spare V-shaped main springs and strikers, spare trigger shoe, spare front sights, trigger adjustment tool, buttplate adjustment tools, cloth sleeves, and all paperwork.
This gun remains in nearly new condition with the toplever well right of center. Ejectors are strong and well timed. An outstanding competition shotgun at a very reasonable price..
