Oberndorf Mauser Type B 6.5 Portuguese $4995
Factory Oberndorf Mauser Type B Sporting Rifle in the rarely encountered 6.5x58 Portuguese built in 1920. This all factory original piece has a 24" round stepped barrel with a hooded ramp front sight and island rear sight with one standing and two folding leaves. Bore is bright and shiny. Standard round top receiver with double set triggers, lever release floorplate , and pear shaped bolt knob. Topped with a Gerard 7/8" fixed power scope in claw mounts. Optics are fairly clear. Pistol grip buttstock with pancake cheekpiece, steel grip cap, and schnable forend tip. Checkered grip and forend. Stock is solid without cracks or repairs. LOP is 14 1/4" to a horn buttplate with intertwined WM.
This is a nice piece in an infrequently encountered caliber for the serious collector with blue remaining at 95% and stock finish at 88% with scattered dents and dings. Excellent value here.
