Belgium guild 12 gauge on a Jones Underlever action built in 1946 with 28 5/16" [72cm] IC/F nitro steel barrels with 2 3/4" chambers and so proved. Bores are excellent. The Jones Underlever is one of the strongest actions ever designed. The reciever retains approximately 90% vivid case colors. The breechface shows minimal signs of being fired. Rebounding hammers. Barrels tight and on face and ring like a chime. Bores are .726 right and left and chokes .005 right and .037 left. Stocked in a nice piece of European Walnut. Buttstock and forend both solid and without cracks or repairs. LOP is 14 1/4" to a color case hardened steel buttplate. DAC-1 1/2" DAH 2 1/4" Neutral cast. 6lb 12oz
This is a neat "modern Vintager' that is a veritable 1946 time capsule with modern nitro proofs and stock dimensions. With the Jones Underlever it will last for generations.
